It’s time to end violent acts against women
and children!
In 2007 Every Step Counts, a non-profit organization
joined forces with Clear Channel Radio and St. Louis
Community College - Forest Park to produce the first ever
"Walk In Her Shoes" shoe fashion show to raise funds to benefit
agencies serving those persons that are current victims
and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The show
featured the latest designs from Guiseppe Zanotti, Tory Burch,
Claudia Ciuti, LuLu Guiness, Rupert Sanderson, Bettye Muller,
Beverly Feldman, Sergio Rossi and Luichiny. Shoes were modeled by
'Walk In Her Shoes' Models, Clear Channel Radio personality Sherry
Farmer, along with (5) survivors of domestic violence and sexual
assault.
Building on the success of the debut event, Every
Step Counts is going national! We will host the "Walk In Her Shoes -
Shoe Fashion Show 2008" in two US cities - St. Louis and Atlanta.
The St. Louis event will be held at the Mildred Bastian Center for
Performing Arts Theatre April 2009. Updates on the Atlanta
"Walk In Her Shoes" coming soon!
Once again, we are excited to partner with our
premium sponsors; Clear Channel Radio, Forest Park Community
College. This year we are also proud to welcome our guest speaker
Lisa Lockwood. Lockwood is a nationally recognized speaker, author
and survivor of domestic violence. Her inspirational story of
survival was recently featured on CNBC's The Big Idea with Donny
Deutsch.
